Assignments & Payload

Assignments are the jobs that earn you money. Each assignment is a request to move cargo or passengers from one airport to another.

Finding Assignments

You can find assignments in two ways:

  • Airport page. Each airport lists available assignments departing from that location.
  • Assignment search. A more advanced search that lets you filter by geography, payout, weight, passenger count, dates, operator, distance, and sort order.

Claiming Assignments

When you find an assignment you want, click to claim it. The assignment is now reserved for you and appears in your Loading Area.

  • You can claim multiple assignments at once.
  • Already-claimed assignments are not available to other pilots.
  • You can remove a claimed assignment if you change your mind (as long as it’s not in progress).

Hold vs. Active

Claimed assignments can be in two states:

  • Active. The assignment will be loaded onto your aircraft when you start a flight.
  • On Hold. The assignment stays claimed but is excluded from loading. This is useful when you have assignments you want to keep but can’t fit on your current flight.

You can toggle hold on and off from the Loading Area.

Payload Auto-Loading

When you start a flight, the system picks which of your active assignments fit on the aircraft based on:

  • Weight: Total cargo weight must be within limits
  • Passengers: Total passenger count must fit
  • Fuel: Fuel weight is factored into the total load

Assignments that don’t fit remain claimed but aren’t loaded for that flight.

Important: If your aircraft has an overdue 100-hour inspection or is past its engine overhaul limit, profitable assignments won’t be loaded. Get the maintenance done first.

Completing Assignments

Assignments are completed automatically when you finish a flight. The system pays your earnings based on the assignment value. If you’re flying under an operator, the payout is split according to the operator’s payout percentage.
